Who should subscribe?

If you are sober curious, struggling to stay sober, or want to celebrate life in recovery.

I do hold an MFA in creative writing (although I do not think you need a degree to write) and will be rolling out discussions of craft to subscribers.

My posts are about life in sobriety and are sometimes very blatantly sobriety-driven, and other times more subtle to include my experience in sober parenting, step-parenting and sober living in general (being sober in marriage, work, relationships, and ordinary and/or extraordinary events).

My focus is on the female experience in recovery but I of course welcome non-binary, men, and everyone anywhere on the gender spectrum.

What is a “Recoverette?”

Recoverettes is a play on suffragettes. I believe women (and people) in recovery are forging a path to liberation (as the suffragettes did). All are welcome ❤️‍🩹

Note: I am very happily married, so please don’t try to spam me by hitting on me in a direct message, as I have healed enough in my recovery that I am not longer flattered by the gross advances of strangers.
